CA Foundation doubt

I am behind on my CA Foundation syllabus after procrastinating. Should I study concepts or practise questions?

Lack of preparation. Any tips?

I've been into coaching from April to july and after that been doing self study but I was prolly procrastinating alott. Didn't study a thing on October. I skipped September attempt saying I'll complete syllabus but January and do it. Now I haven't reached anywhere. Haven't completed half of the portion. What I'd do now? Study properly or go for question work out???

Don't choose between studying and doing questions. With limited time, do both together: learn a topic, then practise its questions the same day. Pure revision without practice won't stick, and questions without concepts will feel random. A practical plan: 1. Forgive the procrastination, then plan. Count the days to your exam. Split the remaining chapters across them, and keep the last 2-3 weeks for revision and mock tests. 2. Prioritise chapters. Use an ABC split: A = high-weightage or easy-scoring, B = medium, C = low or very lengthy. Finish all A chapters first, then B. Touch C only if time allows. Note 2 has an ABC analysis you can start from. 3. Paper-wise approach: - Accounting: practise problems by hand daily. Formats and adjustments score marks. - Business Laws: read the provisions and write answers in a structured way (provision, facts, conclusion). Practise from ICAI questions. - Quantitative Aptitude: focus on formulas and lots of MCQs. Accuracy matters because of negative marking. - Business Economics: concept clarity plus MCQ practice. The economics practice papers in notes 4 and 5, and the macro PDF in note 3, are useful here. 4. Use ICAI resources. Work through the study material questions, RTPs and MTPs, and do at least 2 full mocks under timed conditions. 5. Daily routine: 8-10 focused hours, phone away, and a small checklist each night. Tick it off and you'll feel the momentum. 6. Honest checkpoint: after 2-3 weeks of serious work, check your progress. If most A and B chapters are done, go for the attempt. If you're still far behind, take an informed call about the next attempt. Even then, this study isn't wasted. You've still got time to turn this around. Start today, not Monday!

Have you properly attended your coaching classes? I mean, have you covered the entire syllabus at least once? If you have, then you can definitely do it, no problem. But even if some portions of the syllabus are still pending, you can still target and focus on the high-weightage chapters and get them done. So, don't stress yourself out. Just prepare a good study routine as soon as possible and make sure you follow it consistently. And if you're facing any specific difficulties with a subject, topic, or chapter, feel free to message me. I'll guide you properly, just like a friend.
