An invitation to offer is different from offer. Quotations, menu cards, price tags, advertisements in newspaper for sale are not offer. These are merely invitations to public to make an offer. An invitation to offer is an act precedent to making an offer. Acceptance of an invitation to an offer does not result in the contract and only an offer emerges in the process of negotiation. But there is an exception to above provisions. When advertisement in newspaper is made for reward, it is the general offer to public. On the basis of above provisions and facts, it can be said that as advertisement made by Mr. Aseem to find lost car is an offer, he is liable to pay ` 10,000 to Mr. Vikram. The above case is a General Offer. If the reward amount is not mentioned it will be just a news like the car has been stolen. In that case Mr. Vikram finds the car he cannot ask for reward which is not mentioned.

Under the Indian Contract Act, 1872, Mr. Vikram can claim the reward of 10,000. Although advertisements are generally considered invitations to offer rather than offers themselves, in this case, Mr. Aseem's advertisement specifically stated that he would give the reward of 10,000 to anyone who provided information about his stolen car. This constitutes a unilateral contract offer, and Mr. Vikram fulfilled the conditions of this offer by providing the information that led to the recovery of the car. Therefore, Mr. Vikram has a valid claim to the reward under the contract law principles of offer, acceptance, and consideration.

First, Here is a general offer. An second is thing is that, The advocate didn't give knowledge of his stolen car has get founded then still the offer is open. Here Mr Vikram can sue Aseem for rewards. But in the case Mr Aseem have gave the knowledge of his stolen has founded through newspaper. Then Mr Aseem cannot be able to Sue him for reward.

In this case , it was not an just invitation to offer , actually it was an offer as Mr. Aseem with an intention of making an offer with valid consideration makes it an offer through a newspaper and Mr. Vikram had came into knowledge too . So , he may claim his ₹10,000 .. Invitation to offer is an auction .
