Stifling prosecution means making a private deal to drop or stop a criminal case in exchange for money, property, or favors. The Indian Contract Act treats these agreements as void (not legally enforceable) because they interfere with public justice.

Stifling Prosecution ka matlab hota hai kisi criminal case ko paisa, property ya kisi aur benefit ke badle rok dena ya complaint wapas lene ka agreement karna. Aise agreement public policy ke against hote hai isliye ye void agreement hote hai.
