Explain the concept of movement along the demand curve and shift in demand curve with examples

Movement along the demand curve is caused due to change in own price of the commodity, whereas shift in demand curve is caused due to change in other factors like change in price of substitute, complementary, change in government policies when prices of own commodity is constant.
