Yes, there is a short trick for it 8 is a cube of 2 i.e. 2³=8 So, if the principal gets double in 15 years then simply multiply the no. Of years with cube of 2 15×3=45 I hope this will help.

Sum of money double itself in 15 years Then that sum of money will get doubled in the next fifteen years i.e.Amount 4times is equal to 30years of principle And now that amount will double itself in the next upcoming 15 years . Means Amount 8 times is equal to 45 years of principle money. Hence ans is 45 years
