Employers contribution to uRp is exempt that's why it is not taken while calculating income from salary

And no deduction shall be allowed in respect of employee's contribution in URPF neither it will be taxable at the time of withdrawal since it is already taxed when it is earned

Same goes with interest credited on it... At the time of withdrawal, interest credited on the portion of employer's contribution will be taxable under the head salary and on the portion of employee's contribution it will be taxable under the head other sources
Priyanshu · 7 Apr 2025
Since it is contributed in an unrecognised provident fund it will be taxable at the time of withdrawal not at the time of contribution that's why it is not included in the salary of that year in which it is only contributed

Since as per the act Employee's contribution needs to be Ignored, Employer's contribution is Exempt and the interest on their contributions are also exempt.. As they have contributed towards unrecognised provident fund.
