    Mr. Jagat's taxable amount: (i) Seminar fees: ₹12,500 (exempt) (ii) Tuition fees for Mr. Himanshu: ₹25,000 (exempt up to ₹1,200, so ₹23,800 is taxable) (iii) Tuition fees for Ms. Sapna: ₹5,250 × 12 = ₹63,000 (cost in similar institution, taxable) Total taxable amount: ₹23,800 + ₹63,000 = ₹86,800 However, ₹7,800 is exempt ( ₹63,000 - ₹9,000 (actual cost) = ₹54,000; ₹54,000 - ₹46,200 (exemption limit) = ₹7,800) So, the total taxable amount is: ₹86,800 - ₹7,800 = ₹79,000 The correct answer is indeed ₹79,000.
