What is quasi Contact?

Quasi contact is a contract which is not a contract but it resembles like a contract for example agreement between finder of lost good and principal (true owner) In this case there is no actual contract/agreement between finder and principal although there a implied agreement which is established by the court for the return the cost of finding or retaining which were spent on retaining therefore it is the duty of principal to compensate the finder Hence above example is a case of quasi contact
