Acceptance can be given only by the person to whom offer is made: in case of a specific offer it can be accepted only by the person to whom it is made. Rules related to a valid offer are: 1) It must be capable of creating legal relations. 2) It must be certain, definite and not vague. 3) It must be communicated to the offeree. 4) It must be made with a view to obtaining the assent of the other party. 5) It may be conditional. 6) Offer should not contain a term that non-compliance of which would amount to acceptance. 7) The offer maybe either specific or general. 8) The offer maybe express or implied. 9) Offer is different from mere statement of intention, an invitation to offer, a mere communication of information, a prospectus and advertisement.
