If you forget the formula then you can do this , take whatever sum you want let's supposse 100 is the principal and rate is given which is 5% do this on calculator 5/100+1×100(principal) = Remember you have to press = (equal to) number of times of the years Type equal to 10 times will show you the ci of 10 years and pressing =12 times will give you ci of 12th year This way you. Can get your ansr even if you don't know formula Type equal to 14 times whatever is the result press M+ Then on the same sum get it's 5% for 4 months and then add it to M+ Then you will get the ci of 14.2 years which will be the ansr

Let Amount - 2000 Principal -1000 Rate 5 pa Time ? Now A = p (1+r)T 2000 = 1000 (1+0.05)t 2000/1000. = (1.05)T 2 = (1.05)t Log 2 = t log 1.05 T = 0.30102645/0.0211870 T = 14.208
