CA Final doubt

Hi guys, I am pursuing the last 6 months of articleship. Whether the principal auditor approval is required for CA final exam registration? Will the scenario be change if articleship is completed.

If you are in the new scheam, I belive you cannot take the exam untill you complete your articleship and finish SPOM.
