That's because when you issue cheque to someone you will deduct the amount from cash book and we have to reconcile it with bank pass book so make it even we will add it back

The question means to say that ..... We drawn the cheque for payment of ₹3000 but our creditor has not deposited that cheque in bank and we had done the entry in our cash book but our bank has not debited us yet...... Thanks you

It simply means that you have drawn a cheque for issuing someone, so you have deducted the amount from your cashbook, but it's not presented for payment in bank till the year end, so the amount is not deducted from your account, now you have to reconcile with your bank passbook so you have to add back the amount in your cashbook, hope you find this helpful.
