If he paid the full amount then he is not liable but if he hasn't paid the full amount then he will be liable to the remaining amount of shares for example if a person had paid 95 out of 100 then he is only liable for 5

If a company goes bust, members do not have to risk their personal assets, and shareholders do not assume any responsibility for any debts of the company. Limited by guarantee means companies do not have shareholders or shares in the companies they are basically not for profit organization

Company limited by guarantee: in case of such a company, the liability of the members is limited to the extent of the guarantee given by them in the event of the winding up of the company. The liability of its member will arise only in the event of winding up of the company. Company limited by shares: in case of such a company the liability of the members is strictly limited to the extent of the nominal value of shares held by each of them. If a member has already paid the full amount of the shares, he will not be liable to pay any amount. If a member has partly paid shares, he can be forced to pay the remaining amount during the existence of the company as well as during the winding up. Such companies may be sub-divided into private, public and opc's.
