I mean how to solve the value of log by calculator for e,g log(0.3)???

By taking the rule logab=n then b=a^n

Scrap value =amount(30000) Cost=principal(100000) Then, Amount=principal(1-20%)^n We get 30000=100000(1-.2)^n i.e,.3=.8^n And take log we will get the ans 5.3948
