Sol. we pairing each gentleman with a lady, creating 3 pairs like a lady between two gentlemen. There are 3! ways to arrange these pairs For each pair, we can interchange the gentlemans i.e. sitted at ends 2 * 2 * 2 = 8 arrangements. So, the total number of ways is 3! * 8 = 6 * 8 = 48 ways.
