A time barred debt is a debt which cannot be sued upon because of the provisions of Limitations Act. Toh agar koi aisi debt ke liye debtor aapko written promise krta hai ki vo pay back kr dega then aise case mei mutual consideration hona zaruri nhi hota.

In legal terms, a time-barred debt refers to a debt that cannot be legally collected because the statute of limitations, the period during which legal action can be taken, has expired. In a contract without consideration, a promise to pay a time-barred debt would typically mean acknowledging the debt but not being legally obligated to pay it due to the statute of limitations having passed. However, it's always best to consult with a legal expert for specific advice related to contracts and debt obligations.

Simply the meaning is if we don't take any legal action within 3 years of time limit we can't take any obligation from debtor legally as per limitation act .. but if debtors sign on a promise made by him to pay it then it will be legal without any consideration

As per the provision of Limitation Act, 1963 time barred debt is a debt which is barred by the act i.e the period for suing is over. The period for suing on a contract is 3 years.
